Hello!

If you’re interested in learning Spanish and living in a European country, this post is for you! Most of you already know that here at AIL Málaga, we are crazy for Spanish and we love offering any opportunity for our students to study Spanish in our country.

Erasmus TravelYou probably are also familiar with the Erasmus program: hearing the amazing stories and exciting adventures your friends lived during their months on exchange. That’s why I’m super excited to share our new Erasmus+ Program with you all. This is the perfect way to learn a language and live a unique experience abroad.

This Erasmus program’s main function is to promote a cultural and learning exchange for students of all levels. These include students in high school, professional career training, or even adults in different workspaces.

The Erasmus scholarship provides those key personal and career trainings for students of any levels. What’s more, the scholarship can be used for a variety of things: studying a language, professionally practicing a sport, or even doing an internship in a foreign company.

To participate in this program, the European requires just a few things:

  1. You must be part of an educational institution, whether as an employee or a student.
  2. You need to talk with the Exchange Program Coordinator at your institution to ask them for key information. They will ask you to fill in forms related to the Erasmus+ program.
  3. Once you have the green light from your site, you will need to sign a document between 3 different parties: your institution, our school AIL Málaga, and yourself.

estudiantes viajando erasmusIt’s pretty easy right? We’re more than willing to help you and guide you throughout the process, each step of the way. If you want more information, you can find it all on our webpage about Erasmus+.

And if you’re a true fan of my blogs, you know that I always like giving my own advice and anecdotes about my experiences. It wouldn’t be a “María blog” without my stories! So, I actually also participated in a program similar to Erasmus! For one year, I lived in Bulgaria studying at the American University of Blagoevgrad. Living outside of my home country and meeting people from all different cultures has undoubtedly shaped me into the person I am today. I think the experiences ultimately helped me to grow professionally and personally in a way that I had never felt before.

No matter what your age is, I really recommend our Linguistic Immersion Program in Spain, especially in Málaga. This a city with over 300 annual days of sun, amazing food, and the kindest people you’ll meet.

So what are you waiting for? Join the Erasmus+ program to learn Spanish in the most sunny and exciting city in Spain. The delicious Spanish gastronomy is waiting for you at the seashore.

I hope this post has been interesting for you, and maybe opened the door to a new opportunity for you to study Spanish abroad. As we say in Spain, “te tires a la piscina”, which literally translates to throwing yourself into the swimming pool… but here we are encouraging and daring you to take the challenge. Join us in Málaga!

See you in the next blog!
