Song to practice the future tense in Spanish

This song is an activity to practise the use of the future imperfect tense in level A2 Spanish class. in Spanish.

We have chosen a Spanish song by Fangoria to work on some simple future activities and vocabulary for the students.

The first activity to utilise the song for the future imperfect is to listen to it a couple of times and fill in the gaps with the corresponding future form, with verbs such as: confundir, renegar, subirse, escoger, hacer, sacudir, montarse o apostar.

As well as the future simple, we can also use this song to work on some vocabulary relating to weather and atmospheric phenomenons, as the following words appear in the song: huracán, rayos, truenos o arco iris. The objective of the second activity is to make the students match the images to the words that are given.

In the third activity, we use the story of Dora and the Wizard of Oz which are mentioned in the song, to work on contrasting the past. This way, we propose a series of questions about the story, so that the students can imagine, invent of look for the answers if there is internet connection.

Finally, to really make the most of the song about the future, we have hidden some words in the text so the students have to find a synonym from a list of 3 suggestions.
