Ser and estar imperfect and preterite tense practice activity

This activity serves as practice for the differences between the verbs ser and estar in the preterite and imperfect tenses.

We have thought of questions regarding the history of South America and Spain in which students must use the preterite or imperfect tenses with the verbs ser and estar.

We have chosen questions that pertain to the history of the Spanish-speaking world with the goal that students will learn about Spain and South America whilst also learning how to use the verbs ser and estar in Spanish.

Students can complete the questions with the verbs ser or estar during class, and find the answers to the questions at home because we have made them somewhat difficult.
