Regular and irregular verb preterite indefinite practice ELE activity

This A2 level ELE activity serves as practice for the preterite indefinite tense with both regular and irregular verbs.

It is an exercise in which we will use biographical information about famous people in order to practice with the indefinite with ELE students.

We have chosen 8 famous people from the spanish-speaking world about whom we have found some basic facts: Frida Kahlo (painter), Rigoberta Menchú (human rights activist), Rosalía (singer), Penélope Cruz (actress), Rafa Nadal (tennis player), Fernando Botero (sculptor), Mario Casas (actor) y Carlos Slim (businessman).

We will present 9 important dates for each person and we have taken out the verb in each one of them, we will show the infinitive of these verbs so that the students can conjugate them in the preterite indefinite and place them correctly in each one of the given dates in this activity.

Depending on the size of the class, the students can work individually or in groups.
