Spanish song to practice physical descriptions in the ELE A1 level class

This Spanish song serves as practice for vocabulary related to physical description of people in the ELE A1 level class.

We have chosen a song from Mecca that describes a person with gaps for the students to fill in and complete with other activities to practice using the physical description vocabulary.

In the second ELE A1 activity, the aim is that the students will complete phrases from the song with the verbs ser and tener with words that appear in this Spanish song.

In the following Spanish exercises with this song, students must find words that do not follow the normal rules of gender in the Spanish languagel, for example the Spanish word ‘mapa’. Furthermore, we have included a phonetic and orthographic activity, related to the mentioning of the words ‘rata’ and ‘lata’ in the lyrics. The participation of the students is once again encouraged so that they look for other similar cases (roto and loto, risa and lisa, ruso and luso, …)

The last two activities in this ELE sequence from a Spanish song encourage oral expressiondeepen students’ knowledge of structures that they will use to describe people.
