A1 activity to practice transport vocabulary in Spanish classes

Through this A1 activity, we want to improve and practice transport vocabulary in Spanish classes.

This sequence of activities is composed of three exercises the learn and practice vocabulary about modes of transport.

In the first activity, we provide a small game in which the students have to guess words relating to modes of transport, through the first letter of the word and a small definition. Words relating to el avión include tripulación, ventanilla, pasillo and bandeja.Those relating to el tren are billete, portaequipajes, andén and asiento. Those relating to el coche are volante, limpiaparabrisas, maletero and freno. Finally, those relating to la bicicleta are sillín, pedales, manillar and cadena.

In the second exercise of this activity to practice transport vocabulary, we have created a series of questions relating to different transport, and they have open-ended answers. Amongst other things, we ask about the students’ favourite modes of transport, professions related to transport, , or about the advantages and disadvantages of travelling via certain transportation.

To finish, and to memorise this vocabulary, in a fun way in your Spanish class, we have made a game that uses the vocabulary from the first exercise through a memorisation technique.
