A game to practice the conjugation of the (regular) present tense in Spanish

The best way to learn and practice the present tense of regular verbs is through games like this one that we have created for an A1 level Spanish class of absolute beginners.

We believe that students should always learn and practice Spanish vocabulary relating to different themes, so we have created this activity where we learn by playing a board game

The board has 30 squares which have questions in the infinitive, and the students have to conjugate them in the second person to their friends, who have to respond back in the singular first person.

The verbs that make up the questions are as following: cantar, dibujar, leer, beber, escribir, vivir, coleccionar, escuchar, comer, correr, recibir, interrumpir, desayunar, bailar, creer, responder, discutir, subir, cocinar, limpiar, romper, aprender, compartir, admitir, aceptar, nadar, esconder, cometer, confundir y partir, and all of them follow regular conjugation.

Depending on the class size, we would divide the students into groups or pairs, and the goal is to move across the board using dice. It would be even better to go from box to box in order to practice all of the verbs. The goal is to correctly suggest a question with the conjugated verb to the members of a team or pair, with either of the two options. In order to join in on the next turn, it is necessary to ask and reply correctly.
