A1 exercise to practice using reflexive verbs in the present tense in Spanish beginners’ classes

This sequence of activities, to practice reflexive verbs in the present tense for A1 level students, contains 3 beginners’ Spanish exercises.

In the first activity in this sequence of reflexive verbs exercises we present a series of images which the students have to match with the corresponding infinitive. The reflexive verbs that we have chosen for the first exercise are: acostarse, lavarse, despertarse, reírse, peinarse, sentarse, quemarse, aburrirse, enfadarse, afeitarse, maquillarse and ducharse.

Whilst identifying the reflexive verbs, we have also put an incorrect phrase with all of them, so that the students can find and correct the error.

In the second exercise in this sequence of activities, to practice present irregular reflexive verbs with A1 students, we have given you a series of questions that contain these verbs, and they have open answers to give the class a chance to conjugate the reflexive verbs they know.

Finally, we offer an activity in which we show some images with two descriptions for each, and the students have to decide if the image corresponds with a reflexive action or not.
