Spanish game and activity to introduce yourself in A1 classes
This Spanish activity is a game to introduce yourself for beginners’ classes.
It is an game because in this activity the Spanish students are going to create their own character through different categories of cards.
The categories we have created for this introducing yourself activity in Spanish are: name and age, origin, profession, languages and likes.
There are 16 cards in every categoryfor this introductions game, so the teacher can remove cards if the class is smaller, or put students in pairs if it’s bigger.
To carry out this game in Spanish classes to introduce yourself, cut up the cards and put them in piles of each category, for the students to take one of each of them.
We have added some challenges in the different categories of this activity for introductions, for example in the origin category the students have to look for the Spanish province or community, which their card refers to, on the map. For languages, they have to look for the corresponding country to flag on the card, and for likes, they have to put for dislikes (negatives) in place of the original likes.
Once the students have all the information on their cards, the have to present their new character in Spanish.
