I hope you’re doing great and enjoying your summer while still achieving your goal of learning Spanish.

Today, I want to share with you an exciting experience I had in Malaga: Discover El Caminito del Rey Andalusia’s Most Popular Route. AIL Malaga, our Spanish language school, not only provides us with the opportunity to improve our language skills but also allows us to enjoy the incredible plans offered by this Andalusian city.

I have always been passionate about outdoor activities and visiting iconic places, so when I heard famous route of El Caminito del Rey, I couldn’t resist the idea of walking it.

El Caminito del Rey, Andalusia’s Most Popular Route a narrow and dizzying gorge located in the heart of the province of Malaga, renowned for its spectacular pathway built along the canyon walls, high above the Guadalhorce River. Besides being a thrilling and adrenaline-filled experience, it also allowed me to immerse myself in the region’s nature and history.

On the first day of the route, we met with a group of schoolmates, some students, and a local guide, who explained to us the historical and cultural significance of El Caminito del Rey Andalusia’s Most Popular Route. It was exciting to hear the stories and legends surrounding this place as we walked through the ancient trails. But don’t worry, while the path has narrow and high sections, all safety measures have been taken to make it accessible to everyone.

During the journey, I could witness the significant progress the students had made, as we kept talking and sharing anecdotes and fun stories. It was a unique opportunity to see their incredible advancements while enjoying the stunning scenery surrounding us. Both my companions and I taught them words and expressions in Spanish related to nature and hiking, which made the experience even more enriching.

After a few thrilling hours, we reached the end, and the view from the top of the gorge was simply breathtaking. The mountains, the river, and the natural landscapes around were of indescribable beauty. Undoubtedly, an image that will remain etched in my memory forever.

After completing this exciting route, there was still much to discover in the city. Malaga has a great variety of plans to offer. One of the places you cannot miss is the Alcazaba, a fortress built during the Muslim era, which provides a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. Also, the Roman Theater is another fascinating site that combines history and culture in one place.

We cannot forget about the beaches of Malaga. Spending a relaxing afternoon at the beach is an excellent way to practice Spanish with locals and other students while enjoying the sun and the sea. Moreover, Malaga’s cuisine is another attraction for food lovers. You cannot leave without trying the famous “espeto de sardinas” (sardine skewers) or the delicious Andalusian gazpacho!

AIL Malaga also offers cultural activities, such as museum visits and excursions to nearby towns, allowing you to learn more about the rich history and traditions of this region.
